1. (U) The MDDR, Movement for Dadis to Stay, issued a
communique on August 26 announcing the group's intent to
stage a protest in front of the U.S. Embassy on Sunday,
August 30, beginning 10:00 AM. The protest is in response to
the USG's August 20 press release, which commented on
Guinea's elections (reftel). Calling upon Guinea's patriots
to protect the national sovereignty of Guinea, the MDDR
denounced the USG's message using words such as
neocolonialism and imperialism.

COMMENT
--------------
2. (SBU) Embassy anticipates no changes in our overall
security posture although post will increase Local Guard
Force staffing and request stepped up patrols by the local
police (BAC) unit. The protest is currently scheduled for
Sunday, a day that the Embassy is closed. RSO will be
monitoring the situation. END COMMENT.
