We delivered reftel demarche to Dorin Panfil, Head of NATO and Politico-Military Cooperation Division, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration (MFA),on September 28, 2009. Panfil responded that the Government of Moldova would duly consider this request and that he would pass the demarche request on to the Government of Moldova's United Nations unit who would make the decision on it. He did not provide a yes or no answer on supporting the U.S. candidacy and could not specify when a decision would be made. Post will report any further substantive response from the MFA. MICHELI
