We delivered reftel talking points to Ms. Carolina
Popovici, Counselor, in the Multilateral
Cooperation Department of the UN Division at the
Ministry of Foreign Affairs on 14 April 2009. Ms.
Popovici noted that the MFA was aware of the USG's
recent announcement of its candidacy for the
UNHRC. She further stated that no decision had
been made as to whether or not the Government of
Moldova would support the USG in its candidacy or
not. She informed us that the MFA would notify us
when a decision on the matter had been made. Post
will report the Government of Moldova's response
at that time.
