1. (SBU) U.S. Embassy Political/Economic Office spoke with LAWRENCE
KOSTER managing director of GLOBAL DEFENCE SOLUTIONS PTY LTD by
phone on October 30, 2009. Econoff conducted a site visit to GDS in
July 2007 (ref B). Koster confirmed that since that time the
company has not changed its focus or operating locations and
continues to represent defense companies with an electronic warfare
focus, including AAI and Hurley Industries. Their sole customer in
Australia is the RAAF. They have no offshore clients. GDS has been
certified by the Australian DOD as capable of holding classified
information under the Defence Industry Security Program (DISP).
