(U) On September 24, Econoff delivered ref demarche to MFA
Environment and Sustainable Development Department Counselor Amr
Abdel-Wareth regarding the African Biosafety and Biosecurity
workshop to be held in February, 2010 in Nairobi. Abdel-Wareth, who
started his position less than a month ago, said he would review the
workshop information and discuss it with MFA offices responsible for
UN and non-proliferation issues. Post will report any substantive
Egyptian response septel.
