(SBU): The Ministry of Health (MOH)reported yesterday, June 2, the
first H1N1 flu case in Egypt. A 12-year old Egyptian-American girl,
who arrived on a May 31 direct flight from New York City with her
mother, was stopped at the airport by MOH authorities who discovered
she had a high fever. She was transferred to Cairo's Abbassia
Hospital, where she remains in quarantine. Central Public Health
Laboratory tests later confirmed the girl has the H1N1 virus. The
girl is reported to be in good condition.
