(U) Acting Director of the Department for International Organizations at the Ministry of External Relations, Roseline Uwimana, told Emboff in an October 27 meeting that the Government of Burundi would carefully consider U.S. objectives as outlined reftel. Given that the Director himself was out of the country, Ms. Uwimana could not give a specific response to the U.S. positions, but she promised to convey this information to the Director upon his return later in the month.
