SANCTIONS TRANCHE 3 DELISTING

1. (SBU) Econoff discussed reftel points with Krisztina
Kovacs, Head of the Sanctions Unit of the Finance Ministry's
Department of International Relations; Andrea Kadar, Head of
the Sanctions Unit of the Foreign Ministry's Consular
Service/JHA Strategic Issues Department; and Gergo
Pasqualetti, EU External Relations (RELEX) Coordinator of the
Foreign Ministry's International and EU Public Law
Department. All three individuals agreed with the proposed
delistings and none had additional information to offer.
Pasqualetti mentioned that the Barakaat Network would
probably be discussed at this week's meeting of the RELEX
Sanctions Working Group, and offered to brief Econoff on any
items of interest that might come up.
