1. (C) POL Counselor discussed reftel points September 23
with Dr. Bernadett Kollar, Head of the Global Organizations
Unit of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' International
Organizations and Human Rights Department. Dr. Kollar said
Hungary shared U.S. concerns about the Goldstone Report's
unbalanced focus on Israel and its recommendations. She
emphasized that her country wanted to do all that it could to
support President Obama's efforts to advance a two-state
solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
2. (C) Dr. Kollar stated that she would share our points
with her colleagues in Geneva and New York. The Hungarian
missions would be very interested in consulting with U.S.
counterparts about how best to achieve a constructive outcome.
