Embassy delivered reftel demarche to Kinga Simon, MFA
Director for International Organizations (IO) and Human
Rights, MFA Americas Director Norbert Konkoly, and the Prime
Minister's Foreign Affairs Advisor David Koranyi. MFA IO
Deputy Director Veronika Lakatos told the Embassy that the
points were conveyed to the Hungarian delegation currently in
New York (which includes Prime Minister Bajnai, Foreign
Minister Balazs, and Political Director Gabor Iklody),and
that while she was unaware of the final decision, she
expected that Hungary would join the EU consensus on the
issue.
