In response to reftel demarche, post met with local representatives
of the World Health Organization and coordinated a joint outreach
effort, to include post participation in the locally-organized World
TB Day event sponsored by the Marius Nasta Institute of Pneumology
on March 24. The local organizers will distribute an EMBASSY press
release to help highlight the international importance of World TB
Day. Post has also offered an Op-Ed piece explaining U.S. efforts
to combat TB to several local newspapers.
