Emmanuelle Defoy, Attach in the United Nations (UN)
Department of the Belgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. She
said that Belgium will follow the European Union (EU)
consensus by abstaining on the three resolutions creating UN
organizations with an anti-Israel bias. She stated that
Belgium did not want these "unbalanced" organizations. She
said that Belgium abstained on the Goldstone report "to keep
pressure on Israel after it announced 900 new settlements" in
the same week.
