Poloff delivered reftel demarche to Pol De Witte, Director
for Security Policy in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, on
January 27. De Witte said that the ratification process for
Albania's and Croatia's protocols of accession is on track
and the GOB hopes to finalize the process by the end of
February. We assume that deposit of the protocols would
follow immediately thereafter. The protocols were approved
by the Belgian Federal Senate on January 22 and are expected
to be approved by the Federal House of Representatives on
January 29.
