1. Poloff delivered reftel points to Veronika Lombardini,
Director of the Human Rights Department at MFA, on September 9.
Lombardini said Slovakia's priority would be to reach common
positions with EU Member States first, and with like-minded
countries including the U.S. as well. In general Slovakia
concurs with U.S. positions. Slovakia is not planning to
introduce or sponsor any resolutions at the 12th session.
2. Lombardini said Slovakia cannot support the Russian proposal
on traditional values because it is unclear. Slovakia strongly
supports the creation of a mechanism to combat discriminatory
laws against women, and the resolution on Cambodia.
