(U) On September 25, Econoff delivered reftel demarche to MFA Desk
Officer for the United States Adriana Maldonado, and the MFA's
Director of Economic and Environmental Affairs Yadir Salazar
regarding the U.S-Canada-Mexico trilateral proposal to add
hydrofluorocarbons to the Montreal Protocol on Substances that
Deplete the Ozone Layer. Maldonado said she would review the
proposal and share it with her colleagues. Post will report any
substantive Colombian response septel.
