¶1. (U) In response to reftel request, Embassy has no
derogatory information regarding or objections to the two
microfinance institutions, Kompanion and Bai Tushum,
identified in reftel remaining or becoming recipients of
lending or investment from MicroVest I, LP.
¶2. (U) Reftel indicates there may be future financial
support to microfinance institutions in the Kyrgyz Republic.
Embassy appreciates OPIC's continued support and coordination
on these projects.
