1. (S) On July 2, acting POLE counselor delivered the
non-paper in reftel to Juergen Boehler, Head of the Export
Control Licensing Division of the State Secretariat for
Economic Affairs (SECO). Boehler expressed appreciation for
the information. He said that he was not aware of a possible
effort by Syria to obtain a high-speed camera from Swiss
company AOS Technologies, but undertook immediately to
investigate the matter and to provide subsequent feedback.
