(S) On July 7, EconOff delivered ref non-paper to German MFA
Export Control Division Desk Officer Iris Wilczoch regarding
a known Chinese proliferator's effort to broker the sale of
and training for German-origin test chamber equipment to the
Iranian Defense Industries Organization (DIO) in support of
Iran's missile program. Wilczoch said she would deliver the
non-paper to the appropriate export control authorities at
the German Federal Office of Economics and Export Control
(BAFA) and report back any findings. Post will report any
substantive German response septel.
