(S) On May 20, EconOff delivered ref non-paper to German MFA
Export Control Division Desk Officer Iris Wilczoch regarding
an Iranian effort to procure Swiss origin guidance
instrumentation from a German firm in support of Iran's
unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and unmanned underwater
vehicles programs. Wilczoch said she would deliver the ref
information to the appropriate export controls authorities at
the German Federal Office of Economics and Export Control
(BAFA) and report back any findings. Post will report any
substantive German response septel.
