(S) On November 12, EconOff delivered ref A non-paper to MFA
Export Control Division Desk Officer, Pitra Studert-Goeller,
regarding a possible imminent delivery of a German-origin
rotary swaging machine to a Malaysian-based,
Iranian-controlled procurement entity. Goeller thanked the
USG for the non-paper and said she would immediately deliver
it to the appropriate export control authorities at the
German Federal Office of Economics and Export Control (BAFA)
and report back any findings. Post will report any
substantive German response septel.
