(S) On November 5, EconOff delivered ref non-paper to MFA
Export Control Division Desk Officer, Iris Wilczoch,
regarding an Iranian procurement attempt for German origin
computer numerically-controlled machine (CNC) tools in
support of Iran's ballistic missile program. Wilczoch
thanked the USG for the non-paper and said she would deliver
it to the appropriate export control authorities at the
German Federal Office of Economics and Export Control (BAFA)
and report back any findings. Post will report any
substantive German response septel.
