(S) On January 30, Global Affairs officer delivered the Ref A
nonpaper to German MFA Export Control Division Desk Officer
Nancy Reck. Reck appreciated the Ref A information and said
that she would deliver the information to the appropriate
export controls authorities at the German Federal Office of
Economics and Export Control (BAFA). Reck said that specific
information in the nonpaper naming the broker, Hamed
Ghazvinian, in connection with the Farazeh Equipment
Distribution Company (FEDCO) would be particularly useful for
BAFA. Post will report any substantive German response
