On May 29, the Serbian parliament passed legislation ratifying the Agreement between the Government of Serbia and Montenegro and the Government of the United States of America Concerning Cooperation in the Area of the Prevention of Proliferation of Weapons of Mass Destruction and the Promotion of Defense and Military Relations (reftels). Article 2 of the ratification law states "This law is adopted as a law of the Republic of Serbia because the Republic of Serbia is the legal successor of the state union of Serbia and Montenegro." ¶3.
