Per reftel, post delivered the demarche to the Agricultural
Ministry's Director for EU, WTO, and International Cooperation,
Milanka Davidovic. Davidovic said the Agricultural Ministry was "on
the same track" with U.S. food security goals and that Serbia is
devoted to policies that fight hunger, reduce poverty, and increase
the incomes of farmers and agricultural producers. However,
Davidovic cited the Ministry's ever shrinking budget as a challenge
to ensuring food security and implementing Serbia's 2009-2011
National Plan for Agriculture.
