(SBU) Pol-Mil officer delivered reftel demarche to Serbian MFA Arms
Control officer Ljubomir Postic on January 13. Postic stated that
in October 2008, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Science and
Technological Development Bozidar Djelic announced his support for
Serbia's ratification of the IAEA Additional Protocol. Postic
advised that in addition to Djelic's support, the MFA's office of
International Legal Affairs was also involved in the ratification
process. Postic believed that the process would take several months
but assured Pol-Mil officer that the procedures had been started.
