GOVERNMENTS WHOSE BUDGETS ARE NOT TRANSPARENT

In response to reftel request, post confirms that the Government of
Serbia's (GOS) central budget is adequately transparent. The GOS
budget is publicly available, including online via the Finance
Ministry's website. The published budget includes income and
expenditure items for the current year and projections for future
years. In addition, parliamentary discussion of the budget is
televised. In the Embassy's opinion, the published budget
adequately reflects the Government's income and expenditure.
