Organizations and Conferences Department UN Affairs Division
Attache Jiang Bo reftel points on co-sponsorship and
pre-notification for the upcoming UNSCR 1267 listing request
of Al-Qa'ida in the Arabian Peninsula and of its leaders
Nasir Al-Wahishi and Said Al-Shihri and shared identifiers
and background information. PolOff underscored U.S. desire
for PRC co-sponsorship of the submission. While offering no
immediate comment, Jiang promised to convey the information
to the appropriate officials.
