(C) On September 24, PolOff delivered to Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Organizations and Conferences Department, Human Rights Affairs Division Deputy Director Yao Shaojun reftel points on U.S. concerns regarding the conclusions and recommendations of the Goldstone Report. ¶2. (C) Yao replied that China also had doubts about discussing the Goldstone Report in the Security Council. However, he added, China "understands the concerns of the Arab countries." China is seeking, but has still not found, a balanced way forward that will satisfy the concerns of all parties, Yao said. He requested that the United States inform the Chinese delegation if there were any elements of the Goldstone Report recommendations that it could support. HUNTSMAN
