1. (SBU) On August 12, PolOff conveyed to MFA International
Organizations and Conferences Department UN Division official
Jiang Bo reftel points noting the commencement of the USG
review of tranche 3 names from the 1267 Consolidated List
pursuant to paragraph 25 of UN Security Council Resolution
1822 and requesting that China provide any additional
information that might be pertinent to the USG review. Jiang
said he would circulate the information to relevant
ministries within the Chinese government and report the U.S.
request to his superiors.
