1. (SBU) POLOFF conveyed to MFA International Organizations
and Conferences Department UN Division Officer Li Jun July 23
reftel points requesting information on the attendance of
senior Chinese officials at the 64th UN General Assembly
(UNGA). Li responded that the planning process for China's
attendance at UNGA had just started and he would have more
information at the end of August, but added that he
anticipated "high-level" PRC attendance at the meeting. Li
said he would convey the request to his superiors and provide
updated information as it became available.
