1. (U) On the 4th of June, 2009, POLOFF delivered the referenced
demarche concerning Lucretia Myers' candidacy for the UN
International Civil Service Commission to Central African Deputy
Minister of Foreign Affairs (DMFA),Ambrosine Kpongo. During the
meeting, the DMFA said that the Ministry would respond by
diplomatic correspondence in the coming days. On the 5th of
June, 2009, Embassy Bangui received an official response, dated
the 4th, from the MFA stating that they have instructed their
delegation to vote in favor of Ms. Myers. A copy of the
correspondence will be forwarded to referenced POC, Brian
Hackett.
