1. This is an action request.
2. Pursuant to the Leahy Act and Foreign Assistance Act, post
requests the Department's assistance in screening the following
candidates from the Iraqi Security Forces who has been nominated for
training in the United States. Post has no derogatory information.
3. The name of the proposed candidate follows:

POSITION: Colonel, Counterterrrorism Command, Logistics
DOB: January 07, 1963
TYPE OF TRAINING: International Defense Management Course
TRAINING LOCATION: Defense Resources Management Institute, Monterey,

DATES OF TRAINING: 30 January 2009 - 12 June 2009
Please note - the course he was suppose to attend is supposed to
begin January 30th; however he will not be traveling until the
response for the Leahy vetting is received at Post. His visa
