Econoffs delivered subject pre-notification to Mohammed A.
Alhmaimidi, Deputy Head of the Iraqi MFA's Department of
International Organizations, on July 1. Alhmaimidi thanked
us for sharing the pre-notification and promised to pass the
information to the Central Bank and other appropriate GOI
agencies. He could not predict whether the GOI would take
any specific actions against Al-Muhandis, but said the GOI
would consult with the USG if it does so.
