UNSCR 1267 LISTING REQUEST OF FIVE PAKISTANI INDIVIDUALS

1. (C) On January 21, A/Economic Counselor delivered
reftel points to Ioannis Sidiropoulos, Secretary General of
the Ministry of Economy and Finance; Panagiotis Thomopoulos,
Deputy Governor of the Bank of Greece (BG); and Panagiotis
Kyriakopoulos, Director of Monetary Policy of Banks of the
Bank of Greece. They indicated that they will pass on this
information to relevant offices within their institutions
(which in turn will pass on the information to entities under
their supervision, such as private banks),but had no
substantive reply at this time. POLOFF shared the same
information on January 20 with MFA D1 Directorate
(International Organizations and UN Affairs) Counselor
Dimitrios Papandreou and solicited Greek support. Post will
continue to engage with the GoG on these issues and
will report any significant developments.
