(SBU)On August 13 PolOff delivered reftel demarche points on the
UNESCO Director-General election to the MFA's "D1" Directorate for
the UN and International Organizations and Conferences. The MFA
acknowledged our message and noted that the UNESCO Coordinator is
currently on leave and returning August 17. (Note: August 15 is a
major Greek national holiday and most MFA officials, from the
senior leadership on down, are currently on leave or traveling
