Gun appreciated being engaged, and was particularly grateful for information regarding Ak Makina's apparent attempts to circumvent export control regimes in Germany and the Czech Republic. He confirmed that Ak Makina's activity remained under close scrutiny by the Turkish inter-agency. He said that he had raised our concerns about Ak Makina's activity with Prime Minister Erdogan's senior Foreign Policy adviser Hakan Fidan and that any application for an export license submitted by this firm would be subjected to the closest inter-agency inspection.
