¶1. (S) We delivered the information regarding the potential
transfer of lethal military equipment from Bulgaria to Syria
through a Turkish intermediary (reftel) with MFA Acting
Department Head for Nonproliferation and Disarmament Affairs
Mustafa Yurdakul on September 17. Yurdakul pledged to look
into the matter and consult with relevant authorities
regarding this shipment. He agreed to provide a follow-up
once he has more information.
