1. (SBU) In response to Ref A, Post has no information confirming
discrimination against U.S. products, suppliers, or bidders in
government-funded airport construction.
2. (SBU) Currently, one U.S. manufacturer, John Bean Technologies
(JBT) Corporation (formerly FMC Airport Technologies),is drafting a
tender response to supply new boarding bridges for the Queen Alia
International Airport (QAIA) expansion. Post's Foreign Commercial
Service office is working with the company in developing its
response. JBT is competing against Chinese, German, and Norwegian

International Group (AIG),a consortium led by the French company
Aeroports de Paris that won the bid to renovate QAIA airport in
exchange for a 25-year concession on QAIA operations (ref B). JBT
is the world's largest and oldest ground support equipment
