(C) PolOff delivered reftel points on February 18 to MFA
nonproliferation pointman Khaled Takhayneh, noting Jordan's
developing relationship with Russia on diplomatic and
military issues. Takhayneh promised to share the points with
the appropriate Jordanian authorities. Ambassador
subsequently raised the issue on February 21 with Chief of
the Royal Court Nasser Al-Lozi, who said he had received the
points and planned to discuss them with the King in the
context of ongoing concern about Iranian actions that
undermine regional security. Jordan would look for ways to
be helpful, Lozi stated.
