OPINION ON KOSOVO

(SBU) Poloff delivered reftel demarche to Samer Naber, Deputy
Director of the Foreign Minister's Private Office, on August
¶30. Noting that the message about ICJ oral arguments on
Kosovo was previously delivered to Jordan's Embassy in
Washington, Naber said that the MFA's Legal Department and
International Organizations Department have begun
consultations on the issue. When they reach an agreement,
Naber will return to us with more information. Embassy Amman
will follow up with our MFA contacts and advise on future
developments.
