Per reftel request, demarche points were passed to Samer
Naber, Deputy Chief of Staff to the Foreign Minister, on
August 10. Naber promised to pursue the matter with his
Jordanian inter-agency colleagues immediately, although he
cautioned that a final decision on the matter would be taken
at the highest political levels. Reftel points were also
passed to officials at the General Intelligence Directorate
(GID) on August 10. The Charge has requested a meeting to
discuss reftel points with Chief of the Royal Court Nasser
Lozi on August 13, when Lozi returns with the King from
official travel in Bahrain. Details of that meeting will be
reported septel.
