JORDAN RECONFIRMS ITS SUPPORT

(SBU) Secretary General of the Ministry of Planning and
International Cooperation Nasser Shraideh, who is also
Jordan's alternate World Bank governor, confirmed to
EconCouns on May 12 that Jordan had already submitted its
ballot in favor of Kosovo's application for World Bank
membership. He commented that other countries, including
Serbia, were lobbying against Kosovo's membership, but Jordan
had not been swayed.
