Hamza Khelif, Deputy Director for Disarmament in the Office
of Security and Disarmament Affairs. Khelif referred to UNSC
resolution 487 of 1981, which he claimed called for the
denuclearization of the Middle East. Saying he would pass
our concerns to his superiors, Khelif affirmed that the
Algerian delegation would approach the IAEA General
Conference in consultation with all other IAEA member
countries, especially the ''Arab Group.''
