During a July 6 meeting, we provided MFA International
Economic Affairs Deputy Director Azzedine Riache the text of
the 18 June Treasury Department advisory and underscored the
need to implement the financial provisions contained in UN
Security Council resolution 1874. Riache gave no substantive
comment, but said he will pass the text to his colleagues and
contact us with any subsequent response.
