(C) PolOff delivered reftel demarche to Ababa Felleke,
Ministry of Foreign Affairs Director for UN Main Organs,
Programmes, and Funds Affairs. Ababa stated that while the
Government of Ethiopia (GoE) supports the right of nations to
generate nuclear power, it opposes the proliferation of all
nuclear weapons. He stated that the GoE condemned Iranian
efforts to develop nuclear weapons, and praised the United
States for engaging Iran in bilateral discussions as part of
the larger P5 1 talks.
