1. (U) Per reftel, PolOff delivered the demarche September 15
to Mrs. Perpetual Dufu, Deputy Director, International
Organizations and Multilateral Bureau at the Ghana MFA. Dufu
stated that Ghana will cooperate with USG to promote
universal human rights. Dufu referred to the visit last week
of a DOS delegation that included staff from IO. When
discussing a resolution on the freedom of expression or
discrimination against women, she said that Ghana will want
to see specific language in a resolution before making a
commitment of support. Post will advise if additional
information is received.
