1. (U) Per reftel, PolOff delivered the demarche to Dr. Kojo
Assan, Director, International Organizations and Multilateral
Bureau at the Ghana MFA. Assan reacted positively to the
demarche and said that he is aware of the outcome document
prepared by the President of the General Assembly (PGA)
because the UK High Commission PolOff delivered a letter to
the MFA on behalf of the European Union expressing concern
over the document. Assan said that he will notify the Ghana
mission to the UN of the USG and UK/EU position. Post will
advise if additional information is received.
