1, (U). POLOFF delivered demarche on Refel on March 26 to Dr.
Kojo Assan, Director for International Organizations with the
Ghanaian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Regional Integration
and NEPAD. Dr. Assan said that he expected that Ghana would
again abstain on the resolution. He noted that Ghana had a
long history of religious tolerance and respected religious
freedom. He also noted that the UK High Commission had
earlier demarched him on the same subject.
