¶1. (U) Poloff delivered reftel demarche February 12 to Dr.
Kojo Assan, Director for International Organizations at
Ghana's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Regional Integration and
NEPAD. Dr. Assan responded that the issue of Kosovo's
recognition would be brought to the attention of Ghana's new
Foreign Minister, who should be confirmed by Parliament and
assume his office later this month. (NOTE: The Government of
Ghana is still in transition following the January swearing
in of the new President, John Atta Mills. END NOTE.)
