¶1. (U) The National Agency for the Prohibition of Traffic
In Persons (NAPTIP) operates eight shelters for victims,
each with offices serving administrative and prosecution
functions. Each location has a local tip line; calls are
toll-free only to Zain subscribers. There is one telephone
company (Zain) that has supplied these numbers, toll free
to local callers. (Note: Telephone service is a challenge
in Nigeria with the prospects for having a nation-wide tip
line not on the immediate horizon. End Note.
